Bien reçu la veste, elle est nickel 
La coupe me va parfaitement et la matière n’attend que la patine du temps pour s’embellir.
Pas du tout eu le temps de faire des photos, le boulot repart à 200% de mon côté mais je m’y attelle prochainement !
Sur ordre du grand moderateur voici un petit retex à chaud:
Je cherchais une chemise en lin pour remplacer mes uniqlo qui tiraient la gueule après de belle année de service, par la même occasion je cherchais un label qui proposait un peu plus qu’une matière trop « plate ». le but c’était une chemise marine et une grise, couleur qui passe au bureau lieu dans lequel il est prévu que je les portes le plus.
Pas mal chercher mais rien n’allait, soit pas la bonne couleur soit ennuyeux soit sold out etc… Pour finir je suis tomber sur cette pièce SEH Kelly:
J’ai attendu trop longtemps et elle m’est passée sous le nez puis peut de temps après sa petite soeur est arrivée:
J’ai sauté sur l’occasion et commandé.
On est plus sur une 100% lin puisqu’il est mixé avec de la soie (50/50).
La matière est vraiment belle et très agréable au touché. Si on m’avait fait deviner je ne pense pas que j’aurais dit qu’il y a du lin dedans c’est vraiment bluffant. On ne retrouve pas du tout cette « nervosité » du lin et le tombé est très fluide. Le mouchetage donne un joli relief qui attrape bien la lumière et donne une jolis palette de couleurs.
Niveau coupe c’est la ou j’avais le plus de doute n’ayant jamais commandé une chemise chez SEH Kelly je suis assez content. Une bonne longueur mais un cintrage bien pensé qui évite l’effet parachute que je voulais éviter. Je pense donc que je vais la porter sortie ou entrée en fonction du niveau de casual que je voudrai dans la tenue. Le col est bien la mais et donne un bon mixte entre habillé et relax. Bref une très bonne chemise à porter au bureau qui a un vrais truc en plus tout en étant pas m’as tu vu! Fort possible que j’envisage d’autres chemises!
Il faudra voir comment ça passe niveau « gestion thermique » je crains que ce soit peut être un peu plus chaud qu’une chemise 100% lin.

A mon avis c’est pour la mi-saison française.
J’ai pris une L, je fais 180m pour 80 kg environ. J’ai un haut du corps bien la (reste de mes années de sports intense « soupire »).
@Mat c’est aussi ce que je pensais, Si je m’en souviens je ferai un crash test le jour ou la météo daignera nous gratier de températures estivales. Au pire des cas ça me donne une excuse pour en chercher une autre,

The shirt looks good. Exactly as hoped and intended, to be honest (which as a designer is the highest praise I can possibly bestow)!
We cut the shirt halfway between casual and formal … which are most subjective terms, I know, but means there is some shape to the shirt, more than a typical casual shirt, but less than a smart work or tailored shirt. The same goes for the length. I always wear my shirts untucked, but we made it sufficiently long to be happy tucked-in, without working its way free from its trouser lodgings.
The cloth we use is heavy. We strive to use the best cloth made in the British Isles, across all natural (and occasionally unnatural) fibres — and what the mills in this country do best in our experience is heavy. There are mills that make very lightweight linen and cotton, but it is not as good — whether in quality or design — in my experience, as the equivalent from countries overseas. Hence we stick to « what we do best » and this is usually heavier than the norm, which is great for winter but more restrictive for summer.
(Not that we don’t keep investigating options.)
The silk-linen poplin is a really good cloth, woven on the south coast of Ireland, and is one we hope to continue to use for years to come. It also washes very well, shrinking very little, and acquiring greater and greater texture.
We’ve just begun making new shirts for winter, and including a peculiar and exciting « worsted Bedford cord » — which is a fine worsted (wool) cloth with a grooved texture like corduroy. Lovely, lovely stuff, and I hope the shirtmakers here can it justice.
The descirption and explanations you gave fits my feeling with this shirts so, as far as I am concerned it is a success.
Juste a quick question regarding the packaging of the order. It is always packed with a tote bag (great by the way) I’m using it a lot, but after 2 or 3 it is a bit superfluous, is there a way/possiblity to indicate that we wish an order without it?

To access it, you can email paul@sehkelly.com with your request. It’s a bit like Siri or Alexa. For instance, send an email with the words « Paul, stop sending me the tote bags » and voila, the software will process the request and you’ll never see another tote bag again.
Paul is a rubbish name for the software, I know! We are welcome to suggestions. The other downside is memory: the Paul system has limited RAM and so you might need to repeat yourself every now and then.

Sure thing! I don’t have any more photographs just yet, but the jacket is identical to Jackets — S.E.H Kelly.
And then the cloth is identical to Shop — S.E.H Kelly. We have it in dark olive (albeit in almost non-existent stock) and in the cedar shown on Instagram earlier today.
The price is £380 (ex VAT) and the sizing is exactly as the Bedford cord one linked at the top of this email, but 3" (7.5cm) shorter in the body, and 1" (2.5cm) shorter in the sleeve. The latter measurement brings it in line with our standard sleeve measurement for jackets, as last time we made it they came out too long.
They’re as much as two weeks away from appearing online, Romain, and the publicising on Instagram this morning was perhaps a mistake, as they’re proving far more popular than anticipated. If you might be interested in picking one up, please let me know (sorry).
